Is the navy and marine Corps doing a disservice to this Gunnery Sergeant?

I do know an Army vet who was kicked out at 19 years 1 month, even though he put in for re-enlistment. It was a personality clash with his Col, even though his Top approved the request. This guy saw almost 6 years of continuous combat, deployed to Kosovo/Bosnia and Iraq multiple times. Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, 3 Purple Hearts, etc...
