Is the term “check roger” considered to be disrespectful?

Ok let’s try this again since the last one wanted to get deleted. I have been hearing junior enlisted say it towards NCO’s more and more. Is this a disrespectful way of saying “roger that, and go freak yourself” ?
When I was in the infantry an individual was nearly smoked to death for saying check roger to his squad leader. Not sure if it is only a combat arms thing. More clarification would be appreciated

Depends on the situation
“Get your headgear off!”
“Ooh! Roger SGT! My bad!”
No Problem
“We can clean the common areas at midnight on Friday!!!”
“Rah-Gerrr!!!”
Not OK(tone implies “go f yourself”)

I found that if someone says "fair enough " they disagree but understand and don't like it. Similar to the sound reply oh "hooah" when still talking to them, can be taken as ok ok whatever let's just end this.
