Is there a Memo, ALARACT, or anything in regards to needing at least 500 promotion points in order to attend ALC?

I had a reservation for ALC in February 2016 and a month ago it was canceled. The reason I was given was because I did not have the required 500 points to attend. I have been searching and cannot find that OML or regulation anywhere.

Sorry I haven't updated this. My leadership could not give me a reason, they had no idea why my slot had been canceled. My branch manager finally told me this, "Due to the new STEP initiative, OML is built based upon promotion points rather than Time in Grade. You were most likely cancelled due to the fact that your promotion points were not high enough to be in the Feb class. Currently, the Schools branch is not enrolling anyone with promotion points under 500 until the list gets a little smaller. Keep adding them promotion points as quickly as you can and you'll make it."

I would almost venture to say that you were given a BS excuse for why your reservation was cancelled. Talk to your S1 or S3 about why. They may have a better answer..........unless they were the ones that gave you that answer.

My commander told me he looked into it and that is the reason they gave. A number of other NCO's have had their reservations canceled as well and were given the same reason.

I know the way the schools have been revamped, many who had reservations got them yanked to make way for those that are in dire need or something along those lines. But not having 500 points as a reason just seems a BS stretch of a reason.

68 CMF. As a 68X I make points every month (14) but can't even get phase one until 511. Past two months only 1 NCO went through he had 514.
