Is there a mentor willing to assist me in learning to obtain hands-on, real-world experience in cyber security?

1SG Alexander Perea, are there ways for instructors to go to Security+ classes on Fort Gordon to obtain the certificate?

There are so many different things to discuss. Wireless security, network boundary protection, systems security, datacenter, etc. It's a very broad approach you're taking, you have to narrow your focus. What is your background? What is the extent of your IT background? Any certifications? By no means does earning Sec+ make you a network guru.
