Is there a problem with flat feet in the Army? Will I be disqualified for this or has it changed?

Is there a problem with flat feet in the army? I honestly just recently noticed (past 2 weeks) I may have flat feet/very very low arches, and it's never ever caused me any sort of pain. As in the only pain I've ever had in my knees/ankles/feet is definitely from overuse.

No you won't be disqualified unless it is symptomatic meaning having pains because of it. I have flat fleet as well they dont bother me at all and I just swore in the army last week.

just go through MEPS and the doc will determine it based on his physical evaluation , as well as the questions he will ask you.
Simple as that.
good luck

No you will not be disqualified unless it is an issue. So say anything If you are self diagnosing. Let the medical examiner do their job and tell you, you have flat feet and want you to get a consult.
On the other hand, I was in basic with a girl who had chronic flat feet and should have never passed her Meps exam and was discharged from reception. Took her 6-7 weeks to get sent home.
