Is there a regulation that allows me a late call to attend my service instead of formation for religious services?

During Rear D, I often have a 1100 or 1200 work call on Sundays. My religous service (Protestant, on-post chapel) is between 1045-1230 only. Is there a regulation that allows me a late call to attend my service instead of formation?

CoC is to afford all accommodations in order to meet Religious needs. However, mission does come first and if mission dictates that you cannot attend your Services, then speak with your CoC to see what can be worked out.

Have you brought it to your CoC? I’m certain an accommodation will be made. It’s all in the details!!!!

I'm late to the show but there are some solid answers here. Best of luck to you!

Does anyone know if I should reach out to my Chaplain on this issue? I have an unrelated appointment with my Regimental Chaplain (LTC) tomorrow.

Reaching out to your chaplain is a good idea, but I would go through your Battalion chaplain first to get that problem resolved.

Lots of good answers here. I'm wondering who screwed up that y'all have to come in every Sunday.

We are a unit that goes to the field monthly for two weeks out of the month, the Sunday work call only applies during Rear D.

Best way to approach this is to talk to your chain of command and explain the situation that you'd like to attend if possible. Now if they say no, think of it in the perspective that if you were in the field you wouldn't be able to attend then either. There's no regulation or legal loop hole to get you out on this because it comes down to mission requirements.
