Is there a regulation that refers to the DA Form 87?

I've noticed that some of the DA Form 87s I've received in my career are customized a little. Is this authorized? Is there a regulation I can get guidance from?

AR 25-30 Army Publishing Program. 2-19. a. (4) DA certificates. All DA certificates are given a form number; managed by APD; and indexed in the Department of the Army Publishing Index. Commanders of agencies, commands, and installations will not create certificates.
