Is there a timeframe on how long an Admin hold can take place?

So, I was supposed to hit SPC less than 2 months ago but I was flagged due to an APFT failure but a week ago I passed my APFT and was told I’d be SPC by this week. Then I’m getting told by my NCOIC that CO said my TIG was on pause when I got flagged. I knew that wasn’t a thing so I brought it up and now being told I’m under an Admin hold.

Your TIG does not get a pause. What paused was the signing/approval/submission of the 4187 to advance you to SPC. But first, the Flag Removal paperwork has to be filled out and submitted for processing. Once your Flag Removal request has been filled out by your Commander, then it has to be submitted to S1 for processing.

And to caveat my previous post, the regulations state that the Flag removal must be initiated within 3 days of outcome. That just means how soon the Commander has to submit the request. S1....well, that's a bit of a different beast. It SHOULDN'T take them long.....but, S1 does what S1 does at the speed S1 wants to move.

What? TIG and TIS do not pause. When you got flagged you got frozen at your current rank, unpromotable, but that is it as a flag means no positive personnel actions can be done for you.
Ok, you failed an APFT, got flagged, likely and I am just guessing your Admin hold has to do with the flag removal paperwork not filtering through the system just yet. Check with your CoC.
