No waiting period. Just have to wait on background check. Also have to be hired no later than 3 years post retirement to not lose eligibility.

You can extend your 3 years of eligibility if you are not hired within that time period. It is fairly simple. USACC will approve another year.

There is no waiting period once you retire. You have to be certified by Cadet Command and pass the CNACI and your interview from BDE

Is there a waiting period from your retirement date before you can work as a JROTC Instructor?

As a former cadet, my sophomore my SAI retired and the current one was coming down once a month from Iowa (I forgot what he said but it was for an ammunition plant) he come down once a month for a week and went back and forth. He's there permanently now
