If you are active duty the answer is no, you will be able to try to reclassify when your term is up. A lot of money was spent on your training, hang in there it may grow on you. Thank you for your service.

i believe you are stuck until you're inside your reenlistment window. the army just spent a lot of money training you, they're not going to spend more because you don't like your mos. they want to get their money's worth before they let you switch. good luck.

It's been years now, but I remember my roommate in Korea re-classing to infantry while he was still in the middle of his contract, but that's something you would have to get approval from your company commander anyways. You put in a 4187 and check the re-class box. On a side note, make sure you you use proper grammar when doing any kind of form like that. If a commander looks at a 4187 and sees the same type of grammar and spelling used in your header, he or she is likely going to trash it.
