Is there any way to go straight into active duty as a prior service Marine without going reserves first into the Navy?

I have never heard of a prior service Marine having to go through any such hoops to enlist in the Army. Have you spoken to a recruiter?

With joining the Army I'll get stuck in the same MOS I was in the Marines since it transfers over and I'm trying to get a job that will also benefit me when I decide to end my military career

Cpl Bryan Paulino Morales - who said you are going to have to work the same MOS?

The PSR that I spoke to. Since the MOS is in need of personnel at the moment.

Cpl Bryan Paulino Morales - interesting. Well, if a recruiter told you that you could either ask another recruiter or make your decision based on the given info.

Bro, come to the Army. I got out of the Marines as a Cpl in March 2016, walked into a Army recruiter’s office in June 2017 and In October I was on a plane going to mos school. Best of luck with whatever you choose brother, semper fi

I was going to but I am also trying to go into a MOS that will also transfer over whenever I decide to move on. But since my MOS in the Marines transfers into the Army I'll get stuck in the MOS I'm not trying to be in anymore
