Is there anyone who can give me guidance or advice as to my submission to reclass from 42A to 11B in august of this year?

Hello Everyone, I would like to say I have been very fortunate to have served as a 42A for the past two years and incoming future however I am VERY PASSIONATE about reclass if to the MOS my recruiter talked me out of which is 11B. I would appreciate any guidance or advice from anyone who has preferably reclassed from 42 to 11 or just reclassed in general. Thanks in advance!

This is going to depend on the IN/OUT call for 42A. Infantry always needs folks, pbviously...but is 42A letting people out? While your Recruiter talked you out of it, your Recruiter is no longer part of the equation. Go talk with your Retention NCO/Career Counselor. As long as 42A is letting Specialists out, I don't see a problem.

I reclassed thru my career counselor upon reenlistment underneath the BEAR program. That program doesn't exist anymore, as far as I'm tracking. My suggestion: hunt down your career counselor to see what your options are/ get guidance from them.
