Sons of Confederate Veterans has organizations across the southern states. Members pay extra to the states for the special license plates. But now Virginia has decided to remove the confederate flag from that plate. I can understand and agree with removing confederate flags from statehouses, but I wonder if this isgoing too far. This seems to be tampering with a legal organization's logo. It isn't just a random flag. What do you think?

Question: what're the rules for getting your logo on a license plate? Is it whomever wants to or are there limits eg one could imagine a separation of church state argument against churches synagogues mosques and temples having vanity plates. Is there a screening process?

Va. Gov. Terry McAuliffe says the move will send a message that Virginia doesn't support the display of the battle flag.
