Is wearing a flag patch on a backpack against regulations?

This is all about interpretation. We wear the flag on the right shoulder. As much as I agreed with most of the responses here, I have to remind everyone that when a Soldier is down to the ground after an attack, etc... that flag will touch the ground, the floor or the water, depend on the situation. Now I will not attach my flag to a backpack nor a rucksack, but that is just me. And not, there is not such thing in any regulation. Maybe a CDR policy letter.

Not knowing ARMY regs, I can't say. Personally, according to flag etiquette, I'd say it's fine to attach it to a back pack. Just my opinion, but if you disagree, that's fine.

Military and Civilian norms are different, so is the time period.
When I was active and in the Reserves US Flag patches were part of the uniform, now that I am Civilian and a member of the American Legion Riders, it is almost required! THANK GOD!!!
