Is WTU a long process to be assigned to as a patient?

Hi SFC Ballard, thanks for posting this!  I was assigned as a patient to 2 different WTUs -- one at Schofield Barracks and one out of Fort Knox (remotely).  The duration of your process of being assigned here really depends on your own unique medical situation -- do you have to do to a physical exam review board, etc.?  WTUs are a really unique unit to be assigned to, since they often do little to no PT (due to medical situations) and can feel like a looser conglomeration of military personnel.  However, I sincerely appreciated the care I got while in the WTU.  If you have any questions beyond this, feel free to post them here or email me personally at [login to see] .
