**EDIT** This is intinded to be for discusion of resolutions should something in the nature of the article should happen. I am not saying the article is; in any part or whole; the truth. ***EDIT**

So, what does the good people of RallyPoint think about this? Should we as a nation and our political leaders remain in a reactive posture until something dreadful happens or should we take a proactive stance on the border?

What ideas do you have for securing this massive expanse of border?

Um, its Texas? Shoot them?

Everyone in Texas is packing right?

I still say they are no threat to us overseas and we need to just secure our borders here. These guys do not have an Air Force.

If I was in TX Id be with yall all the way.. Political wars are over rated and is only a show of whose better in attempt to gain global control. Protecting our country is a must by any means necessary and POTUS MUST understand that versus using executive powers to do as he pleases.

SFC Mark Merino 99% of internet rumors would be stopped if people learned to do a quick google search before reposting. I always google search a headline and if every website posting it is of a particular political affiliation, I follow it up with a snopes search. You can almost always tell a false story when it's only reported by a handful of partisan "news" outlets.

Lieutenant martin i think the texas state guard and militias ought to do the job.
it should be a civillian thing backed by the governor of texas they ought to allow people
to volunteer without discrimination of age and let us bring our own self defense weapons the state should foot the cost of ammo i think all old retired military ought to be the first ones accepted to defending the border...

the national guard would only have alot of red tape by being politically correct and being under the thumb of the UNIFORM CODE OF MILITARY JUSTICE...........LET US CIVILLIANS HANDLE IT GIVE US THE MEANS TO CARRY OUT OUR MISSION AND THEN BACK US UP WHEN WE DO OUR MISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best way, would be to pick up arms defend your land and your country. WE ARE AMERICA home of the FREE and the Brave. Not home to pussies and slaves. WE HAVE signed that blank check to Uncle Sam, we must defend our land and freedoms regardless of the battlefield.

Track them down and kill them. No trial, no waiting for something to happen, do not give them a chance. Kill Them!

Not that I think they are here, and I don't believe the stories and pictures are legit, but the above is my answer to them anywhere in the world.

A little bit of initiative and research goes a long way. This news story has been debunked for over a month now, by numerous reputable press sources (see links below). Unless you want to entertain a discussion of a conspiracy at play then the case is closed.

As far as answering your border question, what sane and logical options do we have available that we are not doing yet? Would you put a border patrol officer every 50 feet along the border? Would you advocate permanently militarizing our border? Yes our border is porous, but so far every "solution" I've heard is so draconian in nature that it would metaphorically be the cure worse than the disease.

I'd gladly fork over the cash for a year round out of state permit. Or just move to Texas.

Secure the borders and enforce laws we already have.... Don't wait for a 9/11 repeat, the next one may not just be 3000 dead... We ignored terroristic attacks for over 20 years as a nation, as our embassies and our service members were in danger, it didn't effect us here at home so we didn't take notice... Then 9/11 and we found out we were more vulnerable that we were led to believe, and we still didn't learn.. We still let political correctness dictate how we handled things, who we hired to do our security... We are so worried about what everyone else thinks we don't learn from the mistakes of our past... "Those who forget the past are forever condemned to repeat it..." As for ISIS already being here, yeah you are an idiot and blind if you think there isn't a sleeper somewhere... It is those who clame the ignorance of total safety fed to us by main stream media, that everything is great and the evil is everywhere but here that are part if the problem... I am not claiming to be paranoid, declare martial law or anything, but if we secure our borders now, enforce our current laws, we would have a lot smaller problem, than if we wait to react when they decide to strike... And they will strike, they have proven that by past events and their bold maneuvers now... We slept under a blanket of safety while not tending to the bedbugs that were creeping up underneath... Not trying to be pessimistic, but I was a military brat growing up and I remember the attacks that happened back in the 80's.....

I agree with your statements and we even have people here in the US and on RP that are still hiding their head under that security blanket of "security". People do not want to admit or even know that in their back yards are radical Muslims training to kill innocent "infidels".
Many years ago I saw a report of (a forgotten) number of known terrorist training camps here in the US. One that got my dander up was one operating in the Dallas/Fort Worth area (my home). These camps are actively and passively being watched by our government agencies. And while they are training grounds for evil; to our knowledge there have been no laws broken as of yet by those that frequent the camps. I suppose the knowledge gained by observing these camps are better than being completely blind. I still feel somewhat like we are letting the known bedbugs go as long as they don’t bite us, in trade for information on how other unknown bedbugs may operate.

you want to stop them in the US put a 5.56 or a 2.23 in them and put out a video explaining how we will murder ISIS if they come and mess with us in our country

Back home we've had Minute Men on the border long before the government woke up and decided to do anything.

I imagine all that's needing to be done is advertise they are there and what they stand for...the mess'll sort itself out like we Texans normally have done.
