SGT(P) (Join to see) When you are talking about on "Active Duty" are you talking about active duty orders through the National Guard? Or Regular Active duty , like you went to a Recruiter and then to MEPS?

SGT(P) (Join to see) Do what others have advised. 1. Check Mypay, If there is no LES then talk to your NCOIC about going to Finance ASAP.
1 month for a new Soldier is a long time to go by without pay. If you are in need talk to your NCOIC about the Army Emergency Relief. They can possibly help you out while they are sorting this pay out.

If you have not done so, check your MyPay. If there is not an LES in there since you went on Active Duty, then notify your NCO to put in inquiries.

It usually takes 30 days for an accession (input of SM's pay entitlements) to process. Which is why you receive an 'advance' of $300 on a card when you're in-processed upon initial entry. However, if you are a prior service entry it can take longer. The hold up is usually for Reserve/Guard not submitting their enlistment to AD to their AR/Guard unit so they can be release from that pay system. All pay is 'frozen'/held until you are released from the incorrect system. You will get notices via MyPay as a blank LES with instructions/info at bottom of LES if there are issues.

Years ago I was about four months on a constant move and asked for a $500 casual pay that took them nearly 2 years to collect back from me

I transferred from the guard to active duty back in 2010, it was almost 2 months by the time I got a paycheck.

You haven't seen an LES... have you logged into MyPay??? All of that stuff is electronic now. I don't know anyone who gets paper pay stubs anymore. But since you've only been in for a month, do you even have computer access. I know that sometimes takes a while... even longer if you check in on a holiday period.

How are you on active duty? Basic traning attendance, mobilized reserve component or transferred to an active duty service obligation?
Either way fill out a pay inquiry through your chain of command and go to finance.

MSG (Join to see) - That process from last I checked was still highly manual input and prone to delays and human error. One of my good friends lost all of their time not input on a previous DD-214 a loss of about six years of reserve time. Big hit in his pay and 8 months until it was corrected, then he had a good time with his backpaycheck!
