If you're talking housing, the barracks are located on Lucius D. If you are with a dependent, that's where it starts getting a little funky. Their is family housing on Lucius D, high ranking town houses in the command area behind the old gate, and stairwell units (2-3 bedrooms) between there and the airfield. There is also the Hainerberg area that has stairwell units around the PX and schools.

If you're talking working, they should have finished the CIC a while ago, so there's high probability you'll be working on Lucious D proper, sandwiched between Garrison HQ, DFAC, shoppette, and air unit barracks. To my knowledge they were shutting the Mannheim and other outpost MI locations when I was leaving.

If Little Italy is still open on post try them out. Saheen's outside the shoppette is a good quick spot for lunch too. It's a small post, you'll get the run of it really fast. Travel. You'll be 20 mins away from Frankfurt airport so you wont have to long of a drive to catch flights, and you'll be halfway between Wiesbaden and Mainz train stations.

Yes, it is mandated as there is an abundance of post housing available, and the post command team require an extraordinary reason to grant a waiver.

My apologies SSG, I worded that in the wrong manor. What I actually meant was will I be getting sent someone else ones I get there or are those pin point orders?
For example when I went to Korea, my orders said Osan but I got shipped to Carrol.

You’ll be going to the location on your orders because it is a direct assignment to a specific unit versus an assignment with no unit identified to an area in Germany . Germany is different than Korea. Good luck to you, I hope you enjoy Germany...SPC (Join to see)
