Just wondered whether anyone here also had any interest in iaido at all; was merely curious, many thanks.

I studied MJER Iaido for a few years. Recently I went back and started to take it up again and then boom deployment!

Outstanding, the group I'm with on LI I've been with about 20 yrs off and on, our senior instructor is a shihan who'd been elevated a few yrs ago. The group moved a few yrs ago to a new dojo, and added iaido, that one of the senior aikido instructors is also expert in. I haven't had as much time as I've wanted to get engrossed in the iaido, as I've had for the aikido, however, I obviously intend to, certainly. O wish in retrospect I hadn't been as distracted from the aikido as I was, I might I think have gone further had i been more able to make time for it, you know? I gather you most likely have gotten further than I did, I alsomgotmsick of late, which obviously caused further distraction, I'm afraid. I've never actually done judo, per SE, our senior instructor did before aikido, then he trained under Osensei in Japan at the Hombu Dojo, he's Japanese also, before moving to the US to teach here. I'd be most eager to hear more, as I think I'd mentioned, I'd seen there's an aikido group on the site here, have you been involved with it at all? Just wondering, many thanks ....
