Kaplan offering free tickets to active military & vets for Watkins Glen International

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. – In honor of those who currently serve our country, in addition to those who have served in the past, Kaplan University and Watkins Glen International are offering complimentary tickets to active duty military personnel and veterans of the United States Armed Forces for the Sunday, June 28 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.
“Watkins Glen International is proud of this opportunity to pay tribute to those who serve and those who have served our country,” said WGI President Michael Printup. “We are all very grateful to these men and women for the sacrifices that they make, and we’re honored to have them as our guests for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.”
Compliments of Kaplan University, guests who show their military ID at Gates 4A or Gate 5 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday will receive two complimentary Kaplan University tickets. Guests should enter the facility from Lots 3 and 5 to participate.
“With over 20% of our students having a military affiliation, we have a deep connection and commitment to those who have worn the uniform,” said Kaplan University Assistant Vice President of Veteran and Military Affairs Patrick Milligan. “We are proud to be working with organizations like Watkins Glen International, SERKET Racing, and The Boot Campaign at this world-class event to raise awareness and support for the military community.”
The Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, set to go green at 10:10 a.m. on Sunday, is one of four stops on the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup circuit, a championship within the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season.
