Kayak Fishing, for those of you who want a challenge for your free time, may I suggest the sport of kayak angling. For me this has been a great stress reliever, and also a great workout. While I may not catch every time I go out, I do enjoy myself. I have been visited upon by dolphins, gray whales, otters, seals, and all manner of birds. I have caught numerous types of fish, both Dungeness and Rock Crabs, had some really awesome views.

I realize this is a dated post but I do. Here's a couple pics. My yak is modest, I don't have a budget that allows for anything fancy, has peddles, or trolling motor!

Yes, I kayak fish down at the Kentucky River below locks where there are no boat ramps. When you catch big fish they pull you to them since the kayak moves so easily. So, you end up reeling the fish straight up below the boat. Learned a lesson when I grabbed a large Hybrid Striper and threw him in the boat between my legs. That fish went crazy flipping around. Won't do that again.

I live on a lake and kayak fish whenever I have some extra time. My problem is the lake is big and there is lots of paddling or the wind kicks up while I'm out and there is lots of paddling. It always seems like I end up paddling.
