Life after military service and/or a job - is a home based biz a viable alternative?

Some of us are self-starters, entrepreneurs and so having the freedom to choose our lifestyle and income is a big thing. I discovered in the early '90s that I was not really cut out to be chained to a desk or restricted in my thinking by a boss who a: knew less than I did; b: was not able to engage or empower his/her staff and only could bully subordinates; and c: didn't have any vision and couldn't manage it anyway. I began the process by starting my own biz and have since evolved into being a part of a home-based biz. This works for me and it works very well for my wife and I as we have traveled the world and seen and done things we could not have done working for someone else.
