I would recommend to myself to extend myself more. To experience more of what is offered/available while in the service.

Write notes on the back of the photos you take so in 40 years you can remember who and what you are looking at!

Never Again Volunteer Yourself
Granted I wasn't Navy, but rarely did anything good come of volunteering. I loved my time in, learned a lot about myself, and met many interesting individuals. Given the chance to do it all again, I would.

Invest half the money you spent in bars. Spent half the time in school that you spent in bars. No women are ever faithful

tell my younger self to ease up on the alcohol especially over seas as made with very little mixer
. Keep your bearings straight and go after what really want in your Military Career and Never Never Give Up!

When the times seem so dark, I promise there will be a light in your life. It may not seem like it now but do not ever give up hope. Do not let the spark in you die. You will see so much and learn even more.

First of all, I would tell myself to take better care of my body. Then I would have made an effort to strive for the 20 years instead of getting out after one term.

Lighten up. I was wrapped way too tight. Should have partied more.

The first thing I would say, GET IT TOGETHER ! At one time I was just a dumbass and had no idea what life was or what I could do with it! Everything turned out ok, but it could have been so much easier. The other thing I would say would be, have fun but not so much to get you off track.
