If I could go back in time, the first thing I would advise me to do would be to immediately open a savings account at Great Lakes Credit Union, or what ever credit union or bank even existed back then, and start automatic deposits, again if those were a viable choice.

Over the decades I got my nose broken in fourteen different places. Lesson Learned: Stay out of those places. If you are going back in time pick your place carefully.

Pay attention to those who have gone before you. There is SO MUCH to learn. And... show RESPECT to everyone with whom you come in contact.

Focus on the big picture, forget the little crap and take care of what matters most. Never let an opportunity to help someone pass you by…..

If in a leader position, any level enlisted or officer, sometimes one must think twice before responding to a trooper expressing negative thoughts aloud. Sometimes a quick response to save personal loss of face should be deferred to better correct the conditions encountered. Time can be a strong silent partner in proper resolution of the concern.
