I would tell myself that things will work out better than expected. I will write the book I always wanted to write, and it will become very successful. I would also tell myself to not sell myself short, and that I will accomplish what I need to do to be happy.

I joined the military at age 44, but my advice to that me would be the same if I had joined earlier. Read the Bible more, strengthen your faith in God! Provide spiritual care as well as health care.

This is not so bad just hang in there once you make it through the training you'll get a chance go to Vietnam and be next to dad killing the enemy. But as usual it didn't happen that way I didn't get to go to Vietnam they sent me to Germany because I speak fluent German and they sent me to Manheim and I was very glad they did 'cause that's where I met my wife and we've been together 48 years now so the main thing is always tell yourself hang in there you've had worse things in life to do IE rake out stalls in a riding stables in Albuquerque NM.
