Listen to your drill Sgt. Don't get married right out of basic...and don't be afraid to make this a career.

I would tell my younger self to join the air force. Haha. 8 years in the infantry does a number on your body and mind. My dad served 27 years in the air force. Being young and dumb, and that stupid commercial..FREEDOM ISN'T FREE, JOIN THE ARMY INFANTRY!! Suckered me in.

Stay the course, don't get out and make the twenty. Go for the things that you thought were out of reach and never take no for an answer without at least trying to accomplish your goals first.

Although I did eventually Retire, I had a six year break in service so it took longer to retire than it should have.

I would do a better job of keeping track of the men I served with. I've only been able to track down a couple and they had already passed away.
