I believe a main point I would give to focus on would be, to develop my inner strength and Faith, as I would truly have to depend on it for the task and hand (Military Life) and years to come. This world and all its influences constantly fight that theory, so to daily exercise my faith muscles is key. - Sir Luke MFT

I would tell myself to shut up and listen more. Really listen to hear. I was brash and would have appeared to not listen. I was also bright enough to knkw good advice and would have tempered my words in reply more, had more patience with my son, and possibly a better person. Arm chair quarterbacking is easy....

If I could travel back in time the advice I would give myself is submit and give my life to Christ with reading the Bible in it's entirety which I know would have saved me a lot of heartache.

PVT Michele Bowman I agree with that! Still He rectifies our mistakes, orders our steps. He already saw our mistakes before time and planned for us.

Listen more, talk less. You're not as smart as you think you are.

I said to myself in 1966. I would like to go back out side of that airport we landed in when we came back from the DMZ in Korea. And walk back through that airport and the first protester that spit on me of around 30 protester & called me a baby killer & numerous other rotten things. That's when all hell would break loose. No one will ever do that to me or any of the people I'm with again. I have lived that scene over & over in my mind a 1,000 times. Never Again

Your ratings will depend on more than how well you do your job. I found out the hard way that mine depended on how well I pleased the "boss." Our offices were in the rec center. He liked for people to stay in at lunch time & play ping pong with him. I didn't. Now I know.
