If I could go back in time I would tell my younger self, stay the course and retire from the military. Working for the Federal Government may be frustrating but it one of the few places a man or woman can retire with a pension and Tricare for life is an awesome benefit.

I would have told myself: not to get married, take more chances, take the language test again, travel, not ETS...

Given the opportunity to travel back in time when I joined the military I wish I would have taken advantage of obtaining my degree and having Uncle Sam pay for it. Another thing is to take advantage of traveling within the military seeing different countries and customs and cultures.

take advantage of the educational (college) opportunities. Take the overseas assignments and see the world.
