I have a question regarding having the ASU coat taken in on the sides. I tried to find an already running topic but was unable to.
I just got my first set of ASUs, we used the greens when I was federal service, and I would like some guidance on if I can have the sides taken in a little to show more of an athletic cut. I was not able to find anything related to that in 670-1.
Currently when I put on my 46R coat I look like a big square, since my waist is much smaller than my chest.

I had the sides of my ASU coat taken in, to fit my chest and shoulders I had to get a 46R, yet my waist is 33". In the end I think I took about 2.5" in on each side. Now it looks very sharp when on and I don't look like a bag of ass straight off the rack. Many other sin my unit have done the same thing, this should not be an issue as long as the coat is not altered in a way that detracts from a professional appearance.
