Go talk with the USACIDC Commander at your Post. You should take (if they still have them) the CID correspondence course. You have to have a super clean background. The Investigators will go back as far as your old neighborhoods while groeing up. Expect a year or more eait for your background check to be completed. The application for CID Agent is very detailed, too. A lot for you to do.
I was 95D... (old school CID,)..good luck.

Go to cid.mil and click on the join Join CID tab, there you will all of the information you need to know about the requirements. The job is very fulfilling and rewarding, but you will work many long days. Contact the CID office near you and ask to speak with their Recruiting Coordinator, NOT the Special Agent-in-Charge, and they can fill you in even further.

Also the job is great, best I’ve had in the military, however the hours are long and you will be overworked. It’s not like a civilian agency and at times feels like a documenting agency but CID truly trains their agents well.
