My wife and kids were/are always happy when I come home. But... They are'nt the only ones! Along with them is a little hairy girl with a stub for a tail that always gets to the door first wagging that stub at about 100mph. Her name is Sophie and she is a huge part of my family! We have had spouse pics... Let's see those pet pics!

Here's our four-legged family member: Charlie the chihuahua. This is when he was a puppy (about a year ago), but he's not much bigger now. He is adorable, though, and we count him as a member of our family.

Absolutely! I think my dog gets more depressed when I leave than my wife and kids.

My GSDs went with me in the Army. One picked out the man I married instead of chasing him away as they did with most of the men I dated. We have been married over 30 years now and we have had a number of dogs between us since the original ones. Now my GSDs are my Service Dogs that I have trained…not that there is much to training them. They all are naturals for seizure disorder and PTSD. My current boy alerts on strangers, though. He hasn’t had to alert on me since i am so well controlled since I have had him. We have gone on road trips and done a lot of fun things together that I would not have been able to do without my guy. Eroll is 10 and getting a little older but is not slowing down at all. He is a high drive fellow and not what one generally has for a Service Dog but he is my guy.

I have a Sophie too!
Carlos, the elder cat.
Albert is named for Albert Myer--the founder of the Signal Corps.
Spencer is the youngest.
Finally, Albert wanted to be a Solider. (Scroll through the pictures to see.)

The difference between your dog and your wife is that when you lock your dog in the trunk of your car, she is still happy to see you when you open it.
So I've been told

This is my little guy. I do my best to take him to our local national park whenever time permits, and the dog park down the road a bit works as a good substitute otherwise.
