Nice idea. Not sure I see the actual value? So, random friends from Facebook calling, or more likely posting their, support is going to cause a veteran to step back and not feel the pain that is haunting them? I hope I am wrong and it is a great comfort to those in pain...and that it motivates others to do the same thing on the 23rd.

The actual value is to reach out, and reconnect with those we have not been in contact with for a while. Reminding them that although we are all on different paths, we can offer a lending ear, or guide them if they need. There is no need to obfuscate, or pressure anyone, but rather to remind them that we can be there to help.
