with all the talk of martial law, I have to ask. (I apologize if it is a stupid question) since I have a service connected disability rating of 60% and am collecting disability compensation, if martial law is declared what are the chances, if any, of me being forceably recalled to duty? Would I be required? Is that something that can even be done if I'm not medically retired? I'm not saying its gonna happen, I'm not worried about it either way. Its just a "what if" kind of scenario.

Whatever news source you are watching please stop getting your news there. There will not be any martial law. General Miley himself does not want the military interfering with any political events. And the states calling the National Guard is not martial law. No one is going to call you back for anything. This actually frightens me that this is actually a question someone is considering.

PV2 Robert H. Ok, you don't have to worry about being recalled. I have had a few friends get recalled because they were in the IRR. If it ever comes down to the point they are recalling those who are medically disabled they're probably isn't much of an army left. The they would be calling the reserves, then the IRR, then the draft and then maybe they might try to recall those who have retired.

What talk of martial law? There's no official talk of Martial Law, the NG have been activated to guard the Capital during the inauguration.
