mess hall chow hall or dining facility. what do we call it

I was tell'ing someone last week, I was heading over to the Chow Hall. And they said;"You Mean Mess Hall"; So I ask, "What's in a Name...."

I guess it depends on what banch of the service you are in. I have always known it to be the D-FAC.

funny story. I call it a galley but at nuke school it was called a refueling complex :/

SFC, I keep getting weird looks from other students at my college for calling the campus dining hall the DFAC. Anyways, in my little experience we've always eaten "chow" at the "DFAC."
