Federal troops were also deployed to suppress the Pullman strike, as I recall. Federal troops were also deployed in Washington DC in 1968, after Martin Luther King, Jr's assassination.

Federal Troops were also deployed in Washington DC during the 1930's to disband the veterans of WWI. The orders were followed by some of the great WWII names- Marshall, Eisenhower, and Patton as I seem to recall.

On 06JUN44, only one division in the amphibious assault had a unit that reached its D-Day objective.  Which division was it?  What was the code name of their landing beach?

It was a tank unit that made it, a troop of the 1st Hussars along with the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada.  Unfortunately, they only reached their objectives without being able to hold them.
