I must have missed something, when Paris was attacked and innocent lives were taken. I mean what could be more important than The Protesters having their spotlight taken from them by the massacre in Paris? I think they are doing a poor job on the hunger...they need to ramp it up. Personally, if you don't like what is happening at your school...withdraw and move.

I am absolutely sure that the parents of these fine upstanding citizens are proud.

This is absolutely disgusting. How do you think that innocent people being gunned down in cold blood or blown up by suicide bombers is less important than your dumb ass attempt to get attention?

Mizzou protesters aren’t pleased with all of the news coverage highlighting the Paris shooting. Despite the Islamic State’s terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of 129 people and left 352 injured in Paris, Mizzou protesters and Black Lives Matter activists insist the mass shooting has garnered so much coverage in an effort to overshadow the confusion that recently occurred at the University of Missouri.

According to Breitbart, angry Mizzou protesters and Black Lives Matter activists have taken to Twitter with their sentiments of the Paris shooting, and surprisingly, there are many perspectives but most lead to the same conclusion. Although activists and supporters sympathize with those who were killed during the Paris shooting, they still don’t feel the situation should overshadow the racially-charged problems currently plaguing America. For some, the heartless animosity stemmed from the mass college shooting that took place in Kenya earlier this year.

New York Daily News journalist Shaun King cited that although the incidents are similar, the Paris shooting has been widely publicized and the Kenya shooting went internationally unreported by media outlets, which is why some Mizzou protesters aren’t sympathetic. Then, there are others who have argued that the situations in Paris and Missouri are equally tragic, which has also sparked a heated debate. In a nutshell, many supporters of Mizzou and Black Lives Matter have very little sympathy for the lives lost in Paris.

Here are some of the tweets:

The angry tweets and frustration over the Paris shooting “spotlight” comes just days after Timothy Michael Wolfe, former president of the University of Missouri system, resigned following allegations of racism. By now, many Americans are probably well aware of the Mizzou incident that led to all of the confusion at the University of Missouri. But, for those who haven’t heard about the incident, here’s the gist of it.

According to NBC News, earlier this week racial tension peaked at the university when Wolfe became the center of controversy after his alleged failure to address a number of racially-charged attacks plaguing black students at the university. Wolfe faced criticism from a variety of student groups after he allegedly ignored the concerns of students who had been subjected to racism by other students who allegedly spewed racial epithets toward minority student leaders. However, that’s not all.

Before the Paris shooting, there was a Mizzou incident that caused the university’s racial problems to peak. Back in October, it was discovered that feces were used to draw a swastika on campus. The horrific act led to more opposition, segregation and, condemnation from black and Jewish student organizations since Wolfe allegedly failed to do anything to reprimand the students involved or rectify the situation, according to CNN.

As a result, the campus became visibly divided and students began protesting. Even football players went on strike, refusing to participate in practices and sporting events until the situation was addressed. The overwhelming complaints and protesting led to Wolfe’s resignation.

Do you think Mizzou protesters are inconsiderate of the Paris shooting? Share your thoughts.

SSG Keith Cashion Well they just completely wrecked the BlackLivesMatter campaign. The sad thing is they'll never understand the damage they did to their own cause with this. Absolutely zero credibility now.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again now: every time an incident like this happens and that movement's leadership fails to speak out and address issues like this, they lose credibility.

Seems legit.

LTC Andy Kaufmann - True to a point. Most of them probably have liberal arts degrees or degrees (underwater basket weaving, African-American Studies, etc.) that will not get them a job other than as a liberal professor or community organizer and the cycle will continue. Many of these students will be leeches on society and perpetuate the entitlement mentality that permeates our society.

SSgt John S. - I don't know if it happened or not. Regardless, the cartoon I posted is valid. Our college campuses are largely simply liberal breeding grounds because of the ultra-liberal faculty and administrations who have never actually had to live/work in the real world. Let me add that, the majority of the students do not believe the BS spouted by the Libtards, but the minority who do are the ones causing the trouble, as is always the case.

Such a shame that their 15 minutes in the spotlight was cut short... It was so thoughtless of those terrorists to infringe on their cause! I am sure that once international terrorism is eliminated on a global scale, they will be more than set to champion their selfish cause to a further end...

I have no doubt myself that these brave men and women will be the first in line at the Armed Forces Recruiting Center to volunteer to do their part in the elimination of the same terrorism.

Cpt, what does that story have to do with these 'protestors' blatantly violating the rights of the student journalists to film in a public space? What does it have to do with a FACULTY MEMBER physically grabbing the student videotaping, as was his right to do, mocking his right to be in a public space and then calling for 'muscle'?

Of course Mizzou is going to put out positive propaganda like that. It is their jobs on the line. I don't care how their public affairs department tries to spin social media, even the greatest fairy tale is rooted in some sort of reality.

Yes, evidently they seem to be (though I understand they did suspend their activities for the Football Game). It seems the horrific attacks in Paris trumped their efforts, evidently showing them, perhaps for the first time, that it really isn't all about them after all.

Great news if true, and I hope it is. I have no doubt about the University position. However, given the pattern of reported comments during the week I can see where someone might, in the passion of the moment, have expressed frustration on social media before thinking it through. I hope the media revisits the situation to offer an objective report as I want to believe the students understood the gravity of the situation from the start.

Damn those French people plotting to have over 100 of their own people killed and ruin the flow of Mizzou.

TSgt Jaime Jones - Nearly as amazing as your blind acceptance of one of the interested parties' loud disclaimer.

What did you think, that they'd stand up and say "Yep, that was us, we did it!" ??

TSgt Jaime Jones - The first time you insulted me I gave you the benefit of the doubt, chalking it up to your passion for the issue (which doesn't excuse it anyway, but still). Doing so a second time combined with your straw-man argument (you don't know anything about my biases, or the state of my ego), means it's endemic to your character. For the sake of the (possible-but-unlikely) Airmen who ostensibly serve under you, I hope I'm wrong.

In any case, I won't be responding further to you.
