I can’t really speak for your bct experience if you are prior service because I have no clue, but when I was at AIT in 2014, our prior service guys showed up for PT and for class with us all 16 weeks. They lived in a separate barracks and did essentially whatever they wanted. As long as they were at PT and showed up to class on time (and stayed caught up academically) they were golden.

You may just be sent to MOS-T course, it's half the time of AIT, at ft knox and one other place I think.

If that's the case, you'll take the NREMT on day 21. It's tough, but the beat way to pass all the tests and prepare yourself for the NREMT is to just read the book they give you. Listen to the instructors for their experience- but experience doesn't pass written tests, the book answers do.

I had a prior service AF guy in my BCT, he was there in the morning for PT until COB, but he kinda just stood to the side for all the extra dumb stuff. During 68W AIT the prior service guys were in formation with us during PT and classes, but otherwise stayed in the Army Hotel lodging on base, and did their own thing
