Whether it's a topic on 'crying', equating a 'non'-commissioned officer with a 'non' white or vice versa, most/least favorite (name something), using 'GO!' with a topic, 20 different conversations about an update regulation, etc., what's been the most ridiculous topic posted on RallyPoint?

Although there may be numerous, try to name just one.

I'd say that this is the most ridiculous posting. Calling SMs out because they asked a sincere question, whether it be to gain insight or to learn about others, that someone thought was stupid is not a good move.

If a person doesn't know, then they don't know. Knowledge alleviates ignorance. People don't have to degrade someone who is asking a question to rid themselves of their ignorance.

Are you experienced? That is kind is misleading because experienced with what? A more simple question would be what we were doing at that moment, regardless if we are or were active.

I recall a saying. "there is no such thing as a stupid question". I say this rule should apply here. Opinions are like a$$holes. Everyone has them. Here's mine!

I was going to say this one to be meta, but SSG V. Michelle Woods beat me to it, for more valid reasons.

I have to agree with the majority of respondents. There are literally thousands of topic postings on RP but I don't respond to the vast majority. I place postings in three categories: ones that are pertinent or interesting to me (about 35%), ones NOT pertinent or interesting to me (about 64.99%) and the truly ridiculous and asinine ones (about .01%).

The first category is fairly self-explanatory. The second category of topics I ignore especially when it doesn't involve me AT ALL. For example, I probably can't answer a question about the Marines, Navy, AF or CG but I sure can answer quite a bit of questions on the Army.

Although I am not a fan of the "Should a 2LT Salute a 1LT" post…..this post fits your own criteria.

Not sure. I will say that if your first or only question/discussion on RP is about uniform violations, you could probably think of a more pressing topic. Perhaps RP needs an AR 670-1 chat room.
