Murica? Do you think that it is right for College Students to say Pledge Against the USA?
"If you sign up for Denver college professor Charles Angeletti's American Civilization class, be forewarned that you're going to have to recite his invective-filled 'New Pledge' -- and according to some of his students, also be ready to swallow a big helping of his politics.
Angeletti, who teaches at Metropolitan State University of Denver, has students learn an anti-American spoof of the Pledge of Allegiance that denounces the U.S. as a Republican-controlled bastion of injustice, all while spewing his own far-left brand of politics, according to current and former students.
“I pledge allegiance to and wrap myself in the flag of the United States Against Anything Un-American,” reads Angeletti's version. “And to the Republicans for which it stands, two nations, under Jesus, rich against poor, with curtailed liberty and justice for all except blacks, homosexuals, women who want abortions, Communists, welfare queens, treehuggers, feminazis, illegal immigrants, children of illegal immigrants, and you, if you don't watch your step.”
“We’re very racist, we’re very repressive, we’re very Christian oriented, we don’t tolerate other kinds of thinking in this country.”

Professor at a University in Denver Rewrites Anti-American ‘Pledge of Allegiance’
The Pledge of Allegiance has been under attack by liberals in classrooms and courtroom for years. We wouldn’t want to offend anyone with the word “God” in our pledge now would we? But rather than quibble with a line here or there, a professor at the Metropolitan State University of Denver, Charles Angeletti, has rewritten the entire pledge and highlights the new “Pledge” as part of his American Civilization Class. The story appeared on “Fox...

It is also quite correct that that "Priest" is highly likely to be acting in accordance with the management directives of the senior management for whichever branch of "God Inc." they are currently conducting retail sales operations on behalf of.
That isn't quite correct. It is much more correct to say "Once you 'know God' you no longer have to 'believe' that you "know God" because you 'know God'.".
You also say "Because we have no evidence for our claims of existence, we'll say you simply have to 'experience it' otherwise you have no way of knowing." which is getting very close to the mark. After all "Being is being." - right?
Then you say "We only know apples have apple trees because we've seen and studied apple trees before - your analogy doesn't hold up." which would be quite appropriate IF there had been an analogy - which there wasn't.
Then you say "If a being or object has any bearing on the universe, that means that this entity's existence is capable of empirical measurement." - by which I can but conclude that nuclear radiation had no bearing on the universe prior to the invention of machines capable of detecting and measuring it. I also cannot but conclude that nuclear binding energy has no bearing on the universe as it cannot be empirically measured.
