What do you think about this? I will post my opinion after we rack up a few from some other members.

SSG James Lopez Staff, you say "I totally agree or they need to go back to their county. ..." but I wonder if that includes those Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims, Jains, Jews, Buddhists, Doukhobors, Mennonites, and __[fill in the blank]__s who were actually born in the United States of America?

You also say "If we were in their country, we would have to go by their rules." and you are perfectly correct. If you were in India, wee a Christian, and joined the Indian Army you WOULD NOT be required to grow a beard, refrain from having your hair cut, or wear a turban (unless the turban was the official headgear of your unit).

If you were a Muslim in Israel, you would NOT be required to serve in the Israeli military.

If you were NOT a Muslim in traditionally Muslim countries you would NOT be required to serve in that country's military.

Joining the Armed Forces is a voluntary choice, so why should we change our regulations to meet their standards? People wanting to join the military should be rising to our standards.

There is a simple solution to this problem. Take them into the tear gas chamber with a mask and see how well the get their mask to seal after you pop the gas. Then ask them what would happen if this was a biological weapon and not tear gas.

Correct me iffen I is wrong. But once you sign your name on the dotted line, you become "property of the military" and lose the right for various types of individuality.

Sux to be them!
Personally, I hate shaving, but while I was in the military, I shaved, got razor burn, and went on with my day. And yes tear gas and a fresh shave burns like hell.
