My blog's monthly traffic total is slowly rising. Any suggestions to deflate my deadly high bounce rate?

Make sure you deliver on the promise that brought users to your website and deliver it quickly. There was an interesting post on BillWhittle.com on this very subject about a month ago. Sadly, it's only available to paid members. Basically, they had an intro to each video that lasted only about 10 or 12 seconds and yet that was enough to dissuade viewers from hanging around to see the rest. They changed the format to introduce each video with a provocative statement or visual and then run an even shorter intro. This, they claimed, both helped raise traffic and lessen bounce rate.

Thanks. I've heard similar things before. That's the reason I'm writing more " 'X' things you should do after 'Y'" posts. However, I'm slowly creating more content for my niche audience. I've also condensed main categories of posts to give more attention to the ones I care the most about. Any other tips from your experience ?
