Hi Brian,

You can mange your privacy from your settings page. If you want to limit what appears publicly, make sure nothing is toggled to "Public."

I only have the three icons at the top of the page, no settings access to the right as in your post.

Sadly, even if you leave RP entirely or correct your profile settings as others instruct, you may still see your personal info in the results of a Google Search. They maintain their own database with links to the places where they obtained the data.

Google is pretty good at showing current information. They will update their database (index) to reflect what's on the website pretty quickly.

(Join to see) - I've Googled myself from time to time and always find references that are more than a decade old, even to websites that no longer exist.

That hasn't been my experience. What I have seen, however, is Google picking up RallyPoint content very quickly. Sometimes in a matter of minutes for popular discussions.
Google's core strength is their ability to crawl, correctly interpret, and maintain their index (which is basically a current copy of the entire Internet). They built a pretty sweet business doing this.

There's a setting that links names to search engines. Gotta turn it off.
