Yes, they normally back date the BAH to start per the date on the marriage certificate. If there is an issue he needs to communicate with his local finance/S1 folks to route the issue up the chain.

Are they going to pay it in full or just half the previous month. Our marriage license says 09/29

Insyree Cox, BAH changes are effective the date of change in eligibility. In your case, you'll be eligible for two days of BAH (or in other words, 1/15th of what your BAH rate is for the month) for September and then all of October.

Insyree Cox - It will be prorated. You will not be paid full BAH for the month of September. But you would get full BAH moving forward though.
