I went to talk to my recruiter and he steered me away from a combat MOS to go to a 15 series. This is because I want to fly later on, but I really want to be in the action and not be repairing kinda seems boring. What are your guys thoughts?

Learn a marketable skill. I don't know what 15 series is, but if it's aviation maintenance, I'd take it. People who flunk out of aviation schools probably get to see plenty of action.

You choose your job. Period. If you can’t even get this part down, you’re gonna have a rough time. This is YOUR life. This is YOUR career. This is YOUR choice.

Here's my advice. Do research into what path you want to take and do it. Which path you take is completely on you. Half of what a soldier does in garrison is area beautification. A young private, regardless of MOS, is going to be very familiar with a broom and mop. You will be surprised how often you're waiting on formation to start. Now, this boredom will be punctuated with intense training. This is true for all MOSs.
