My son is Army Reserves and did not pass NREMT (68W). He says he is being reclassified. What happens next?

Will he be offered another MOS or be chaptered out? Would he be able to re-enlist? Thank you in advance!

Barbara Jean May there's no need for the Reserves to kick him out when he will serve perfectly fine in another MOS

Ma’am, if he’s being reclassed from Ft Sam he’ll receive an offer for a different MOS, likely in the medical field in keeping with his current MOS. If your son fails training after being reclassed, he may be chaptered out of the Army. I’m glad to hear he received his new assignment! Best of luck.

Update: He was offered a new MOS. He will transfer to new base after the New Year. *whew* Thank you SO much everyone!!!
