Wife wants to join the army, we have two kids. I'm an 11C and have been in for 6 years and have been thinking about getting out of the Army. I've been looking into the Army civilian sector and jobs. Being 11C knowing my luck I'd only be good for security jobs but they pay enough. Anybody with any Army civilian experience? Or would you recommend we go dual military?

1, Dual would be great pain in 4th POC- family plan, etc. 2. DOD is a good choice after she gets assigned Post.
Duel military has it's own set of challenges that you both must address. If you want to work as a DOD or DA Civilian, there are a lot of opportunities out there. But again, finding employment where you have a job brings challenges. I have been a DAC for over 25 years and moved often to meet mission and career goals, just like a soldier. Do not think you are just an 11C. You have skills in targeting and range operations as well as understanding in military explosives. Every Army post has a range control and ammunition supply point that you have similar jobs. Be open to contractor position. Many are a gateway to other permanent jobs.

Thank you for your input I really appreciate it. I'm about to hit my 7 year mark and I've decided I'm just going to finish out my 20 years being a third of the way to retirement already. My wife is on the fence of joining the military especially since our daughter was diagnosed with autism, it would be more advantageous for her to be at home with the kids and not have the risk of both of us being deployed or gone for training at the same time
