I received a temporary profile recently for shin splints and a bad knee from my Battalion PA. When I went to view/download my temp profile, I noticed there was a permanent profile in addition to the temporary one I received. The permanent profile is for a problem I have never suffered from and is signed by a Doctor(MAJ) I have never spoken to.

This would be just a humorous occurence if it wasn't for this mystery profile changing my PULHES in the middle of me updating records for a Warrant Officer board.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what steps did you take to correct this mistake? Even if this has not happened to you, I could sure use the advice. Thanks in advance!

SSG, the same thing happened to me, when preparing for the board. It is usually just a fudge on the docs fault and fat fingers someone who has a similar social. Its crazy how someone can have one digit off of your social, and be active army as well. Small world.

Go back to your doctor or request a telephone consult with them and have it removed.

Most likely what happened was the permanent was the first submitted, which causes e-Profile to generate a temporary. The temporary can be signed by a PA, but the permanent requires a second signature to take effect, depending on the PULHES it will generate. If the temp got signed, but the permanent was waiting for second signature, it would not upload the permanent to HRR until after the second signature was made, at which point the temp would automatically expire and the permanent would take effect. Granted, all of these programs still have glitches, but that is what I suspect happened.

Re-reading, the permanent was for a problem you never had? Might want to find the PA that signed on it and discuss it with them, it might be a case of entering the wrong social and not checking the name to ensure it was correct. It has been known to happen, and it causes no end of problems!
