Need military/government web site for WW2 service man info!!!! This has to do with the USN 1942-1945 Japan. I do have a service#.?

ALL THE INFO I HAVE IS JAPAN PHILLIPENES 1942---1945 survived! POW and I have a service number USN Lt. Every where I go tells me nothing except they want a monthly membership $$$$$. Any working government (free-sites) that you can give me will be appreciated. Thanks guys/gals

http://www.dpaa.mil/.. Not much info was given...you can also check with the navy.. Check with VA, Vfw or county seat.. good luck..
