Trying to go to the MFT course but was told that because I don't have longevity in the unit or Army because I might drop my retirement in 6 months i cannot go to MFT course

The reason behind this is because most units have to pay for personnel to go to various schools, because of that, units want to send people who have longevity within the unit. That way the unit kind of gets its money worth.

Lots of units are creating their own criteria for who they send..

I'm trying to find a way around it.  Units need one and no one else wants to go.

I completely understand the getting your money's worth. They still need a MFT and no one else wants to go.  My 1sg originally supported it and knew about my longevity and after setting a goal for my APFT I met that goal and then some and the CD-R was the one that denied it.
