New Star Trek series to premier in January 2017! Are you excited?

An all-new Star Trek series is set to premier in January 2017. I haven't been able to find out anything concerning the plot or characters but needless to say I'm excited.
The new show will be on CBS.

if they follow the success of the last 2 star trek movies, yes. If I get another enterprise, not really

SSgt (Join to see) I only called it that because I had to deep 6 it after 4 episodes. I get where it has the appeal for some Trekkies. It was very much more technical and thought out. I think that was why I liked Enterprise, not as much emphasis on the tech side and more on the adventure.

That's why I was excited for Enterprise, the adventure aspect. But it just didn't seem that well written and I couldn't "get into" it.

PO1 John Miller It did kind of have that low budget feel and there were parts that just seemed like they kind of threw it together. I still enjoyed it.

Wow! That's great news! I only wish I would be able to see it without having to get a new subscription to CBS All Accesss. Oh, well. Any word on who will be starring, or what the premise of the new incarnation will be? Another Enterprise? In the future of Next Generation, or in the past from it? Any Cardassian and/or Romulan Starfleet Officers?

PO1 John Miller, Thank you! That sounds like the best possible story to tell. Incidentally, I am not yet certain how to "mention" another RP member and have his/her name appear in boldface. I am trying to di that here by copying/pasting your name, but I don't expect it to work. Any assistance is appreciated. And it did not work. Bummer.
